Frequently asked questions
The app isn't showing weather for my location
Check these one by one:
- You've granted E Weather location access: System Settings › E Weather › Location set to "While Using the App".
- Your device's location services are turned on.
- Your device has an internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular data).
If it still doesn't work, you can search for and save a location manually using the search box in the app.
Weather data isn't updating or is blank
E Weather pulls data from multiple providers through a relay server. When one source is temporarily down, try this:
- Pull down to refresh the home screen.
- Switch your weather data source in Settings › Data source.
- Fully close the app and reopen it.
Service-wide outages are usually resolved within a few hours with no action needed on your end.
The temperature or units aren't what I want
Go to Settings › Units and choose Metric (°C, km/h, mm), Imperial (°F, mph, in), or Hybrid UK. The change applies across the whole app right away.
I'm not getting the daily weather reminder notification
Notifications are optional. Turn them on in E Weather's Settings › Notifications, and allow E Weather to send notifications in your system settings. Also check whether Do Not Disturb or a battery-saver mode is blocking them.
How do I add, reorder, or delete saved locations?
You can save up to 6 locations alongside your current location. Open the side panel (the list icon in the corner of the screen) to add a new location, drag to reorder, or swipe an item to delete it. Swipe left or right on the home screen to move quickly between locations.
Where are the Weather map and Route Weather features?
Route Weather and Nearby Weather are currently available on iOS only. We're bringing the map features to Android in upcoming updates.
I want to turn off ads or personalized ads
The iOS version shows ads through Google AdMob to keep the app free. The first time you open the app, Apple's App Tracking Transparency dialog asks whether to allow tracking. If you decline, you'll still see ads, but they won't be personalized based on your activity. You can change your choice at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
When is the Android version coming?
The Android version is in development and will be released on Google Play. Keep an eye on the home page for updates.
What data does E Weather collect about me?
The app doesn't require an account and doesn't collect your name, phone number, or email unless you contact us directly. Your location coordinates are used to request forecasts; analytics and crash reports through Firebase are used to improve stability. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my data?
All saved locations and preferences are stored on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app. To request handling of server-side or analytics data, email mangolabteam@gmail.com.
